The Looking for Group (LFG) tool is your best way to find other players for dungeons, raids, and quests. But using it effectively can be tricky. This guide explains how to create your own groups and how to join groups successfully without wasting your time.
Creating Your Own Group
Leading a group gives you control. You get to decide who joins and what the rules are.
- Be Specific in Your Title: Do not just write “Mythic Dungeon.” Instead, write “Mythic +10, Need Healer and DPS.” This tells people exactly what you are looking for.
- Set Item Level Requirements: Use the item level filter to make sure the players who apply are geared for the content. Do not set it too high, or no one will apply.
- Check Player Experience: Before you invite someone, look at their profile. Do they have achievements for this content? Do they have a good Mythic Plus score?
- Communicate Clearly: Once the group is formed, use chat to say hello. Tell everyone where to go and what your plan is. A good leader talks to their team.
Joining Another Group
If you do not want to lead, you need to make your application look good.

- Problem: No one applies to your group.
- Solution: Your item level requirement might be too high. Try lowering it a little. Also, try making your group during peak play hours when more people are online.
- Problem: The group leader is a jerk.
- Solution: Just leave. It is not worth your time to play with people who are rude. There are hundreds of other groups you can join.
Tips for Success
- Be Patient: It can take time to find the right group. Do not get frustrated if you have to wait a few minutes.
- Know Your Role: If you are a damage dealer, know how to do damage. If you are a tank, know the route. If you are a healer, keep everyone alive.
- Be Friendly: A simple “hello” at the start of a run can make the whole experience better. People are more likely to help you if you are polite.
